Akoya Pearl Strand

Prized for their incredibly vivid luster, the Japanese Akoya pearl is an iconic symbol of refinement and elegance. The Akoya pearl comes primarily from the bays in South Eastern Japan. Once harvested they are brought to Kobe Japan where Imperial's experts hand select only the top quality pearls. 

Imperial Akoya pearls are selected from the same harvests and pearl farms as Mikimoto Akoya pearls. Akoya pearls are rare, very difficult to produce, and used in Imperial heirloom quality pearl jewelry.
